 LITHOGRAPHS

In addition to his renowned tapestries, Fritz Riedl devoted himself passionately to printmaking. Between 1953 and 1954, he refined his lithographic technique under the guidance of Professor Franz Herberth at the Vienna University of Applied Arts. His lithographs are characterized by structured compositions, finely balanced areas of color, and a distinctive formal language. They embody the same aesthetic vision that would later become evident in his tapestries and textile art, and demonstrate his keen sense of rhythm and color dynamics.
