Woodcuts and linocuts accompanied Fritz Riedl for many years. Numerous works were created as personal Christmas cards for family, friends and companions. Others arose from his enjoyment of experimenting with the graphic possibilities of these printmaking techniques. The works reveal his preference for clear forms, strong contrasts and a reduced visual language.
